Columbia City Council to meet May 6

The Columbia City Council will meet in regular session at 6pmCT on Monday, May 6, 2024, in City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. In addition to regular business, items on the agenda include a second reading of the ordinance to rezone 298 Hudson Street, funding requests for the airport and for fireworks for the Fourth of July, a potential sensory playground, grants for sidewalks and parks, and a discussion of downtown traffic.

    The City of Columbia having received a recommendation from the Planning Commission that public necessity, convenience and general welfare of this city requires that an amendment be made to the Columbia Official Zoning District Map, and the requirements of Article 4 and 10 having been complied with, the Columbia Official Zoning Districts Map is amended in the following manner:
    From R-1 (Low-Moderate Density Residential) to C-2 (Highway Oriented Commercial) for lot located at 298 Hudson Street (PVA Map No. 000-02-08-021.00) Property owned by George and Joanne Payne.
