Doug Spears, 59, Adair County, KY (1964-2024)

Doug Spears of the Breeding community of Adair County, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at The Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, having attained the age of 59 years, 4 months and 29 days.

He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Tuesday, November 17, 1964, the son of Billy & Virginia (Pierce) Spears. He was of the Christian faith, a member of the Prices Creek Baptist Church, and worked as a logger for Spears Logging.


He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his former wife, Judy Dickson of Breeding, Kentucky, siblings, Ricky (& Debra) Spears of Burkesville, Patricia (& Kermit) Rigsby of Summer Shade, Kentucky, and Kristie (& Calvin) Judd of Edmonton, Kentucky, and several Nephews, Nieces, Cousins & friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 5pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Young officiating.

Burial will be in the Shirley-Dickson Cemetery in Adair County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Doug Spears memorial fund at the funeral home.
