Ricky Allen Cox, 42, Campbellsville, KY (1981-2024)

Mr. Ricky Allen Cox of Campbellsville passed from this life on Friday, April 5, 2024 as the result of a traffic incident. Born in Taylor County on August 27, 1981 to Eva Mae Bagby Cox and the late Mac Arthur Cox, he was 42 years, 7 months, and 9 days of age.

Cremation was accorded Mr. Cox by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service. There are no public services scheduled at this time.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of New Journey Church. Mr. Cox loved to stay active and outdoors; he was fishing or hunting ginseng at every opportunity he had. He had a big heart and an infectious laugh, and he loved to be an encouraging voice to anyone, but especially those struggling with addictions.

He leaves to cherish his memory:
  • His mother: Eva Cox of Campbellsville
  • His wife: Sabrina (Ferrell) Cox
  • Three children: Kylar Allen Cox, Jace Lonnie Cox, and Brooklyn Rakes
  • Three siblings: Wanda Buck of Campbellsville, Roger Cox and wife Frankie of Campbellsville, and Keith Cox and wife Angie of Greensburg
  • Nieces and nephews: Jessica Cox, Candace Timms, Troy Wilson, Joe Cox, and Stefany Cox
  • A lifelong friend: Steven Parker
  • A host of other family members and friends
Besides his brother, he was also preceded in death by two siblings: Arthur Wayne Cox and Susan Marie Cox.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the funeral expenses. Lyndell R. Petty

L.R. Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.lrpetty.com.
