Emily Griffitt Anderson murder case: Update Jan 27, 2006. The arrest

LENOIR, NC. Jan. 27, 2006. (Special to ColumbiaMagazine.com) -- Sheriff Gary Clark and Detectives with the Caldwell Sheriff's Office arrested Jerry Lee Anderson, 47, at his residence located at 5282 Union Church Road, Granite Falls, NC.

Anderson was arrested on a charge of First Degree Murder for the death of his wife, Emily Griffitt Anderson.


Anderson was arrested without incident, processed at the Sheriff's Office, then was taken before Magistrate Jill Stevens.

Stevens ordered that bond and pre-trial conditions be determined by a District Judge.

Anderson will have his First Appearance on Monday, January 30, 2006.
