Ocie Sexton, 93, Metcalfe County, KY (1930-2024)

Ocie Sexton, 93, of Edmonton, KY passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 with her family by her side.

She was a member of the Prices Creek Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.


She was born in Metcalfe County on June 20, 1930, to the late Clarence and Mamyie Rae Jessee Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband Granville Sexton.

Survivors include six children JoAnna Daniel of Bowling Green, KY, Danny Wayne Sexton (Linda) of Glasgow, KY, Tommy Sexton (Teresa) of Glasgow, KY, Wendell Sexton (Betty) of Edmonton, KY, Mike Sexton (Sheila) of Columbia, KY, and Randy Sexton (Deborah); seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded by five siblings Floyd Gibson, Onedra Moore, Virginia Keown, Maxine Hovious, and Terry Gibson.

Funeral services will be 11amCT Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Prices Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Bragg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8pm and will continue Saturday from 8-10am at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home.
