CPD: Arrest after foot pursuit By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department On Thursday night, March 21, 2024, Officers with The Columbia Police Department observed male party walking on Campbellsville Street who was known to have several active felony warrants. Upon seeing the police cruiser, the subject jumped a guard rail on Campbellsville Street just before NAPA and attempted to flee on foot, going up Russell Creek. Officers pursued the suspect on foot before apprehending him along the creek bank with no further incident. Justin Emerson, 33, of Columbia, was placed in custody with six total active warrants. He has also been charged with fleeing and evading on foot 1st degree. Officer Trent Williams was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by Officer Joey Keith and Deputy Josh Durbin.
