Arletta Irene Butler, 87, Russell Springs, KY (1936-2024) Arletta Irene Butler of Russell Springs passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. She was 87 years old. The family chose cremation, and a memorial service will be held at 11amCT on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. Visitation will be on Friday from 9amCT until 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born in Lancaster, MO to the late Virgil McDaniel and Doris VanDyke Hayes. Ms. Butler was a very active lady working until she was 80 years old at her last job as a desk clerk at Baymont Hotel in Muskegon, MI, she enjoyed playing cards selling healthcare products, networking, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children Blane Butler (Ingrid) of Maryland, Cindy Lou (Paul) of Bloomington, IN, Darrin Butler (JungSun) of Arizona, Debbie Lawrence (Julius) of Russell Springs, KY, and Jeffrey Scott Butler of Columbia, KY; 29 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Alan Butler, her ex-husband Stacy O. Butler, three siblings Ben McDaniel, Ruth Harris, and Bob Wilson, and 6 grandchildren.
