LETTER: Reader worried about the Bridge on 80

Says bridge has slipped a lot over the years; thinks gully washer rain could send it into the creek

Ed when the water receeds you need to take a close look at the bridge on 80. It is dangerous looking. If you look closely you will see that it appears that the bridge has slipped a lot over the years and has moved on the pilons. The concrete has degraded and though I have not looked under it, I have been told that it really looks dangerous under the bridge. I fear it may slip into the creek with one of these gully washer rains.

Editor's note: Thanks. I hope everybody keeps an eye on the situation. We've been trusting the Transportation Cabinet will have the new bridge constructed before a tragedy might occur. -Ed
