Researching Compton ancestors in Nell, Elroy, and Gradyville

Leslie Lindsay is a writer with ties to Adair Co (her great-grandmother was Cora Belle Compton b. 1894 to George H. Compton and Nancy Alice Gosser Compton). She writes, "I'm mostly interested in my great-grandmother, Cora Belle Compton, and her early years in Adair County. The 1900, 1910, and 1920 census records put her in Nell, Elroy, and Gradyville."

Leslie shared a couple of great old photos of Russell Compton, possibly taken in Edmonton, KY (click story title to view them both). If you happen to have more information about the photos or Leslie's research, you can use our Comment Form and we'll pass it on to her.

You can contact her directly and find out more about Leslie's writing at leslielindsay.com.
