CPD: Campbellsville man arrested after theft investigation

An arrest was made in Taylor County, on Friday, March 15, 2024, in relation to a theft case opened by The Columbia Police Department in January.

The investigation began when a retailer in Columbia noticed discrepancies and alerted authorities. The investigation found an employee throughout 2023 had taken $29,000 in various increments.

Findings were presented to grand jury, which resulted in indictment warrant for party. The Taylor County Sheriff's Office later served the indictment warrant on the subject and they were taken into custody.


Nicholas Neville, 32, of Campbellsville, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 as well as unlawful access to computer 1st degree; both felony's.

Detective Evan Burton was the investigating Officer.
