Teddy Upchurch, 84, Green County, KY (1939-2024)

Teddy Arthur Upchurch of Greensburg, son of the late Rev. Charles Arthur and Eveyln Upchurch journeyed to his heavenly home on March 12, 2024. He was born on June 23, 1939 attaining the age of 84 years, 8 months, and 18 days.

He had made a profession of faith and was a dedicated member of Summershade United Methodist Church. He was a committed servant. His Christian walk was a testimony for Jesus Christ.

He retired from the Green County Vocational School as an automotive teacher. This was a job he thoroughly enjoyed due to his lifelong passion as a car enthusiast.

He married the love of his life, Carol McFarland Upchurch, on October 19, 1955. They have celebrated 68 years of blessed marriage. Together, they enjoyed worshiping our Saviour, family, traveling and most of all - each other.

He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include two daughters: Glenda Moon (Tracy) and Monica Hall (Brad) both of Greensburg; two granddaughters and a grandson: Paula Moon (Chris Gabehart) of Campbellsville, Kara Marcum (Adam), and Hagan Hall (Halie) of Greensburg; and seven great-grandchildren, Cohen Moon, Cayden Moon, Elijah Marcum, Emma Marcum, Ellayna Marcum, Easton Marcum, and Holland Hall

Other survivors include sisters: Betty Johns (Kevin), Brenda Loy, and brother Reed (Shirley) Upchurch; sisters-in-laws: Sharon Judd (Larry), Marilyn Lewis; brothers-in-law: Paul McFarland (Deveta), Johnny Moore (Linda), and Mike Moore

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Upchurch; a brother-in-law, James Loy; and a sister-in-law Elizabeth Moore.

While family and friends are saddened by the loss of Teddy, his desire is for others to stroll over heaven with him. What a day that will be!

The funeral services will be conducted at 10amCT Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Tracy Moon, Bro. Bill Davenport and Bro. Dale Curry officiating.
