David Malone, 84, Taylor County, KY (1939-2024)

David Malone, son of the late Fred Lafe Malone and Mary Willie Minor Malone, was born December 30, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Campbellsville at age 84.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a retired delivery driver for Penn's Hams.


David united in marriage to Ernestine Keltner July 26, 1982 and she preceded him in death November 14, 1993.

He enjoyed riding horses and going to Hardees to meet with friends.

He is survived by two sons and three daughters: Roger Dale Malone and wife, Sheila, Jimmy Malone, Deborah Viers, T. J. Newton and husband, Eric and Kimberly Clark and husband, Steven; one step-daughter, Sissy Leake of Campbellsville; fifteen grandchildren: Ciji Blair and husband, Daniel, James Lee Malone, Jesse Malone and wife, Kate, Skyler Leake, Chase Leake, Megan Mull and husband, Bobby, Michelle Davis, Morgan Routt and husband, Don, Seth Newton, Aubrey Jo Newton, Ridley Newton, Emily Clark, Josh Clark, Lucas Clark and Adam Mitchell and wife, Alicia of Campbellsville; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Ronnie Malone and wife, Pat of Campbellsville and Betty Lou McNay of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Barbara Malone of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by one step-son, Johnny Ray Newton and two brothers and one sister-in-law: Willard Malone, Billy Malone and Ruby Malone.
