Matrie (Hill) Roach, 95, Chance, KY native (1928-2024) Matrie (Hill) Roach, 95 years, born October 1st, 1928 passed from our hands into God's loving arms on March 7th, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love for her family and friends to cherish. Chapel prayers will be held at 11amCT on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Hann Funeral Home, 8230 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview, IL 60455. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Garden south Cemetery. Memories will be shared at a visitation from 3pm-9pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Hann Funeral Home. Born in Chance, KY, Matrie spent most of her life in the Chicago area until relocating to Florida for the past 4 years. Married to the late Damen Roach, daughter to Elic and Katie (Coomer) Hill, sister to to Airie, Rosey, Cecil, Tommy, Ruby, Flossie, Chester and Hazel. Mother to Linda (Fiance Don F.) Gerritsen nee Roach and John (Mary Ann Zellmann) Roach. Grandmother to Dylin and James Gerritsen. No words can express what a God loving, selfless, kind, woman she was.
