Emily Griffith Anderson case: Update Jan. 21, 2006 Farm search Investigation is ongoing. Link to full story in Lenoir, NC, News-Topics follows A detailed article in the Lenoir, NC, News-Topics by Joshua Harris, entitled "Officers search Anderson property" details progress in the investigation into the death of Emily Griffitt Anderson, who grew up in Columbia, KY and spent much of her life here. The article touches on the cooperation of Mrs. Anderson's husband, Jerry, in the investigation; on the stability of the marriage; and discusses the possibility that Mrs. Anderson may have consulted a lawyer about a divorce prior to her death. Missing after leaving farm on December 29, 2005 Emily Griffitt Anderson was missing after leaving the farm she and her husband operated in North Carolina. That was December 29, 2005. On January 7, 2006, Sheriff Gary Clark of the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department in Lenoir, NC, reported that Mrs. Anderson had been found in Spartanburg, NC. Her death was attributed to gunshot wounds. Memorial service held in Cane Valley A funeral service was held on January 11, 2006 at Dry Ponds Baptist Church in Granite Falls, NC. There was a memorial service at the Cane Valley Christian Church in Adair County, KY, on Thursday, January 12, 2006.
