Allene Aaron, 94, Columbia, KY (1929-2024) Allene Collins Aaron of Columbia passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was 94 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Steve Pescosolido and Bro. Bill Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the Grant Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue Monday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born in Adair County on April 30, 1929, to the late Vertie W. and Montra Aaron Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband Calvin Aaron and two siblings Ray and Maxine Collins. Mrs. Aaron was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and was a teacher in the Adair County School System, starting in a one room schoolhouse before retiring at John Adair Middle School. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include a daughter Annette Aaron Keltner (Greg) of Columbia, KY; a granddaughter Laramie Pelston (Bart) of Columbia, KY; two great grandchildren Greyson and Dawson Pelston; a sister Kathleen Gregory of Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews.
