ACSO: Adair man arrested on charges stemming from disturbance

From the Adair County Sheriff's Office

On Thursday, February 29, 2024, Sheriff Josh Brockman responded to a disturbance around the 1800 block of Campbellsville Road. While enroute to the call, it was found that the male at the residence had two active warrants for his arrest from Adair County District Court.

After making contact with the man, he fled on foot. The man was caught by Sheriff Brockman in the parking lot of nearby business.


Derek Otterson, 34, of Columbia, was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:
  • Fleeing and evading police 2nd degree on foot.
  • Public intoxication excludes alcohol
  • 2 outstanding warrants of arrest for adair district court
Sheriff Brockman was assisted by Deputy Emily Wall and CPD Sgt. Drew Conn.
