Election 2006: The Wid Watch was continuing at 3:30 p.m. Tues., Jan. 17, 2006

The Wid Watch continues.

It had been expected that Second District Magistrate Wid Harris will make a decision and file for either the Democratic nomination for County Judge Executive or for re-election as Magistrate in District 2.

Howver, as of 3:30 Tuesday afternoon, January 17, 2006, Mr. Harris had not filed for either office.

The Seventh District Race for Magistrate got more interesting, with the filing of a sixth Republican, Terry Hadley.

Five other Republican candidates had already filed for the post. Only one Democrat has filed. The position is now held by a Democrat.

There are only 13 days after today for candidates to file for party primaries in Adair County. The filing deadline is Tuesday, January 31, 2006.
