Jeffrey (Jeff) Costello, 64, Russell Springs, KY (1959-2024)

Jeffrey "Jeff" Costello of Russell Springs, formerly of Columbia, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at his residence. He was 64 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Adam Bowman, Bro. Terry England and Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the Free Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue Tuesday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


He was born in Franklin, IN on September 5, 1959, to the late Charles William Costello and Velva Bryant Burton who survives. He Was preceded in death by his wife Julie Ann Crockett Costello and a son Steven Charles Costello.

Mr. Costello was a member of the Prince of Peace Church and attended the Solid Rock Church. He enjoyed collecting coins, mowing yards, and driving different places, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his companion Bonita Nelson of Russell Springs, KY; three children Jeremy Costello (Samantha) of Russell Springs, KY; Jennifer Bowman (Adam) of Berea, KY; and Jeffrey Robert "JR" Costello (Stephany) of Russell Springs, KY; twelve grandchildren Truitt Bowman, Malachi Jude Bowman, Adam Josiah Bowman, Kristin Lynn Campbell, Ian Costello, Aiyana Faith Costello, Charis Bowman, Nehemiah Tate Bowman, Joyhannah Myla Bowman, Olive Cate Bowman, Zelda Estelle Costello, Kaida Jade Costello three great grandchildren; two siblings Robert "Robbie" Campbell of Columbia, KY and Sandy England (Terry) of Edinburgh, IN and a sister-in law Tina Costello and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and his wife he was preceded in death by two siblings William Charles Costello and Kathy Turner.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Burton, Jesse Durbin, Kyle Loy, Ian Costello, Josiah Bowman and Aaron Campbell.
