Ida Scholl Oaks, 88, Russell County, KY (1935-2024)

Ida B. Scholl Oaks, 88, of Russell Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 7th, at home. She was born in Jamestown, KY on May 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Ara Belle (Riggins) and Bill Scholl.

She was a member of Jamestown Christian Church and a homemaker.


Ida is survived by

two daughters, Andra (Bobby) Brown, Dana Oaks.

two sons Pat (Jodie) Oaks, Phil (Rose) Oaks,

two brothers, Ray Scholl, and Andy Scholl, all of Russell Springs, KY.

She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Sarah (Trent) Stapp, Brad (Lyndsey) Brown, Brian (Carey) Brown, Seth (Heidi) Oaks, and Whitney Oaks, 12 great grandchildren, Cassidy and Carter Stapp, Brodey, Adelynn, and Calley Brown, Caleb and Asher Brown, Jake, Molly, Briar, and Calvin Oaks, Titus Popplewell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen Oaks, 2 brothers Henry and Dora Scholl, 2 sisters Mary Swisher and Irene Shepherd.

Funeral Service will be held 1pmCT on Sunday, February 11th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Tony Stephens and Bro. Jason Walters officiating. Friends may visit 5 to 8 on Saturday.

Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery Jamestown, KY.
