Johnny Harmon, 68, Columbia, KY (1955-2024)

Johnny Ray Harmon of Columbia died on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 5:55 A.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home. He was 68 years old.

At Johnny's request, there will be no public visitation, but family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside service at 9amCT on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Columbia Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating.


He was born September 22, 1955, in Adair County, to the late Gilbert Lee and Bessie Rae Estes Harmon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Casey Bennett.

Johnny was a member of Living By Faith Church and had worked in construction and was like he would say, "a jack of all trades."

Survivors include:
  • His wife - Gina Curry Harmon of Columbia
  • Three daughters - Chasity "Eudie" Bennett (Blake), Jessica Froedge (Daniel) and Brooke Downey (Chad) all of Columbia
  • Six grandchildren - Adam Bennett, Rylee Bennett, Allie Cundiff, Ava Froedge, Ellisyn Froedge, Emmie Downey
  • One brother and sister-in-law - Robert and Sharon Harmon of Columbia
  • Four sisters and brothers-in-law - Mary and Howard Robertson of Center, Linda and Kevin Eberhart, Darlene and Frank Burke, Ruth Ann and Mike Clements all of Columbia
  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Casket Bearers: Adam Bennett, Robbie Harmon, Jay Harmon, Chad Downey, Daniel Froedge, Blake Cundiff, Bobby Joe Phillips
