Jason A. Townsend, 23, memorial service at Old Concord UMC

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of a memorial service to be held Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Old Concord United Methodist Church in Fairplay for Jason Townsend. He passed away Friday at his home in Logansport, IN, where family members say he loved to read and write poetry.

Clergy officiating will be Rev. Brian Janes and Rev. Sam Burriss. Memorials may be made to a trust fund for the children.


Jason was the son of Ruby Bevell Baker of Logansport, IN, and Ross Crowell of Delphi, IN.

Besides his parents, he is survived by
  • Three Daughters: Trinidy Townsend of Colorado, Shalihn Compton and Alexis Smith, both of Logansport, IN

  • Two Brothers: a twin Kevin Townsend and his wife Kristi and James Townsend and his wife Staci, all of Logansport

  • A Sister, Krishanna Baker of Logansport

  • His Grandfather James Bevell of Columbia (his Grandmother Judy Bevell passed away last March)

  • Four Nephews: Zach, Zane, Michael and Matthew Townsend

  • Eight Aunts: Brenda Jones of IN, Linda Grider, Sandy Loy, Ethel Bevell, Edna Keltner, Marilyn Janes and Lois Janes all of Columbia, and Mary Townsend of IN

  • Special friends: Jen Whitlock, Janna Gibson and Billie Joe Cotner
