David Owen Absher, 68, Green County, KY (1955-2024)

David Owen Absher of Greensburg, son of the late Lander AR Absher and Louise Burton Absher, was born on Friday, February 18, 1955 and passed away early Sunday morning, January 28, 2024 in Greensburg. He was 68 years, 11 months, and 10 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ at Aetna Grove Baptist Church. He loved cars and trucks, and was a service station mechanic for Abshers Auto Service.


He is survived by a son: Joseph Absher; a daughter: Tonia Matney; a brother: Barry Absher; and a sister: Ruby Buckner all of Greensburg.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson: Daniel Cody Matney; a brother: Otis Owen Absher.

The funeral services for David Owen Absher will be conducted at 1pmCT Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating. Visitation is requested after 10 until time of the funeral service.
