Appreciating other places and cultures By Linda Waggener Thanks to my friend Elena's share of pictures from Mexico, I'm appreciating the culture even more by singing along to a favorite song, Fuiste Tu, discovered on DuoBroadband's cable Spanish music channel last year. Now that I've had to let go of cable I'm learning streaming and find the song on YouTube. I really liked the sweet harmony in Fuiste Tu even though I had no idea what the words meant, just made the assumption it was a love song. Then with her help I learned the singers were singing at each other, "It was You - your fault, no it was you - your fault, etc, etc." I still really like the song only now it makes me laugh. Here's to learning something new every day and appreciating each other's cultures. This story was posted on 2024-01-28 21:51:28
