Marvin Milby Jr, 86, Green County, KY (1937-2024)

Marvin Milby Jr. was born February 3, 1937, in Green County, KY to the late Marvin Milby and Lydia May Akin Milby. He departed this life Wednesday January 24, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, having attained the age of eighty-six years, eleven months and twenty-one days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a 33-year union retiree of Gates Rubber Company and a tobacco farmer. He was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Milby, who preceded him in death August 3, 2013.


He is also preceded in death by one grandson: Stephen Keith Thompson, three brothers: Clyde Dencil Milby, H. Clell Milby and an infant brother, two sisters: Linda Stillwell and Shirley Walker

He is survived by one son: Steven Milby and one daughter and son-in-law: Terrie and David Lawhorn, all of Greensburg, 3 grandchildren: Steven Ross Milby and his wife Morgan, Sara Katlyn Milby and her fiance Alex Pearl, all of Greensburg, and Brandy J. Palen and her husband Joe of Missouri, 6 great grandchildren: Madilynn Grace Milby, Maylie Hope Milby, Maxdon Ross Milby, Kailey Marie Piro, Aubri Sophia Piro and Hope Elizabeth Piro, his special dog: Lizzy, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12noonCT Monday January 29, 2024 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Scott Coates and Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating. Visitation is requested from 10 until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers: Randy Milby, David Lawhorn, Alex Pearl, Ronnie Moran, Archie Akin, and Lee Miles.
