Era Virginia Nunn VanArsdale, 89, Green County, KY Era Virginia Nunn VanArsdale of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Granville Hugh Nunn and Cora Lillian Jewell Nunn, was born on Monday, October 15, 1934 in Metcalfe County and departed this life on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. She was 89 years, three months, and seven days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was a former federal employee at Fort Knox, and a 35-year retired case worker for the Social Security Office. Era loved to read and loved quilts. Survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Wyatt VanArsdale of Greensburg, having united in marriage on June 1, 1956. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Annette VanArsdale of Greensburg; a grandson: Seth VanArsdale and his wife, Rebecca of Greensburg; two step-grandchildren: Adam Bryant and his wife, Megan, and Amy Bryant all of Tennessee; nine great-grandchildren: Hailey, Isabella, Annie, Chase, Kylee, Jacob, Ava, Collin, and Casen; and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters. The funeral services for Era VanArsdale will be conducted at 12noonCT, Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Wilburn Bonta officiating. Visitation is requested after 9 Friday at the Cowherd. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greasy Creek Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
