Peggy Bladen, 90, Bradfordsville, KY (1933-2024)

Peggy Bladen, 90, of Bradfordsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Roy Elmer Ridgeway Sr and Mazie Elizabeth Jenkins Bladen was born August 11th, 1933 and departed this life on January 16, 2024.

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. She loved to go out dancing. She enjoyed listening to country music.

She united in marriage to Mr. David Franklin Bladen, Sr on September 4th, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 3rd, 1986.


She is survived by:

Two daughters: Diane Burger and her husband, Dennis, of Campbellsville; and Pam Templer of Denton, MD

One daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bladen Campbellsville

Eight grandchildren

Sixteen great-grandchildren

Eight great-great-grandchildren

Her long-time companion, James Hanna of Bradfordsville

Three brothers: Roy Ridgeway, Jr of North Carolina; Harry Ridgeway and his wife, Mary Ann, of Laurel, MD; and Gene Ridgeway and his wife, Rosey, of Huningtown MD

A host of other relatives and friends

Her son, David Bladen, Jr on June 17th, 2021

One sister, Mazie Elizabeth Jerome on October 14th, 2019

Funereal service will be Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 at 1pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Bladen Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 5-8pm.

Pallbearers will be Frank Bladen, David Bladen, Russel Bladen, Johnny Downs, Bud Rigsbee, Dakota Rigsbee, and Josh Brady.
