Claristeen Reliford, 86, Columbia, KY (1937-2024)

Claristeen (Baker) Reliford was born to the late Edd Lee and Lillie Mae Coomer on April 12, 1937, in Adair County, Kentucky. She passed to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Columbia, Kentucky at the age of 86. She was a former employee of Circle R Restaurant and Summit Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Mike Moon officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 4pmCT on Tuesday.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Peck" Reliford in 2021, one sister, Mary Helen Baker Bunch and for brothers, Woodson Baker, Clarence Embry Baker, Willie Elmer Baker and Stanley Baker.

Survivors include:
  • One son - David (Judy) Reliford of Columbia
  • Two daughters - Vickie (Larry) Houk of Greensburg and Bonnie Loy of Columbia
  • Five grandchildren - Brett Reliford, Andrew Reliford, Corey Houk, Nicole Loy Aaron, Laura Beth Houk
  • Six great-grandchildren
  • Two brothers - James Willard (Elsie) Baker and Richard (Gladys Fay) Baker all of Columbia
  • One sister - Dimple Baker Coomer of Columbia
  • A sister-in-law - Margie Baker of Columbia
  • Two special friends - Wanda Corbin and Zilpha Corbin
  • Several other relatives and friends
