Elaine Johnson, 63, Dunnville, KY (1960-2024) Wanda Elaine Propes Johnson, of Dunnville, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. She was 63. She spent her life doing farm work and loved being outside. She enjoyed music, her dogs, eating, and coloring. Born June 24, 1960, in Marion County, Elaine was the daughter of the late Hobert and Ruby Mae Barger Propes. She is survived by her son, Lester Propes; her daughters, Melissa Popplewell (and Gary Schubert), Tracy Pendleton (and Brent Pendleton and Joshua Burkett), and Amanda (and Ken) Pallazola; her brothers, Norman Propes, Donald (and Shirley) Propes and Darrell (and Phyllis) Propes; her sisters, Linda Payton and Brenda Sue Luster; her grandchildren, Abby Pendleton, Amy Popplewell, Pebbles Williams, Kimberly Propes, Samantha O'Conner, Breana Murphy, Dakota Long, Bam Popplewell, Lester Prowes, Timothy McCauley, K.J. Pallazola, and Taylor Pallazola; 5 great-grandsons; and 2 great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, James Brent Johnson; her brothers, Edgar Propes, Wayne Propes, and Eugene Propes; and her sisters, Joyce Ann Propes, Angela Mae Propes, and Alma Schmiers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 1pmET at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Ogle officiating. Burial to follow in Peyton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Brent Pendleton, Joshua Burkett, Dakota Long, Gary Schubert, Eric Luttrell, and Jacob Murphy.
