Ella Severe, 96, Cumberland County, KY (1927-2024) Ella Severe, age 96 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1927 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Clury Spears and Letha Wells Spears. She was a longtime member of Grace Union Baptist Church and former employee of OshKosh in Celina, TN for thirty-six years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Odell Severe, daughter-in-law Margie Severe, great grandson Brooks Gilbert, sisters Ocie (Campbell) Keen, Lucille (Willie) Capps, Myrtle (John) Rowe, Inis (Harlan) Severe, Lena (William) Gray, brothers Kenneth(Willie Pearl)Spears, Franklin (Beatrice) Spears, and Arnold Spears, brothers-in-law Layton England and Joe Ray Jones. Survivors Include: Two Daughters- Hazel (Wayne) Melton of Burkesville, KY and Louise (Leon) Ferguson of Bowling Green, KY One Son- Bobby D. Severe of Burkesville, KY Seven Grandchildren- Jackie D. Melton, Marla McClendon, Jeff(Sara)Melton, Mike (Connie) Severe, Greg(Connie)Severe, Deborah (Tim) Gillum, and Steve (Lorie) Ferguson Thirteen Great Grandchildren- Blake (Britany) Severe, Megan Severe, Brittany Arnett, Emily Severe, Chad (Chasity) Melton, Lori (Brad) Watson, Craig Gilbert, Morigan McClendon, Cody Melton, Bethany (Connor) Mellen, Chris Ferguson, Jessica Gillum, and Cameron Gillum Two Sisters- Selma England of Indianapolis, IN and Lyda Jones of Celina, TN One Brother- Billy (Wava) Spears of Burkesville 17 Great Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Great Grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends Funeral Service: Monday, January 22, 2024 at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N.
