Wind Chill Advisory Wednesday morning

Mike Keltner, Director of Adair Co. Emergency Management, sends word from the National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, that the following Hazardous Weather Outlook was issued at 2:43amCT on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, for portions of south central Indiana and Central Kentucky that includes Adair and all surrounding counties:
Temperatures are in the low single digits and below zero in spots where snowcover is rather deep. Wind chills of -5 to -15 degrees are expected. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 9amCT this morning.

Minor accumulations of light snow will be possible Thursday into Friday morning. Another dome of very cold air will move into the region this weekend.
Thursday temperatures are predicted to climb into the mid-30s, before plunging again to low single digits on Friday night. Rain and snow showers are likely on Thursday, mainly after noon.
