Nova Ann Wright Johnson, 82, Russell County, KY Nova Ann Wright Johnson, of Russell Springs, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Jamestown, KY. She was 82 years, 8 months, and 14 days of age. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was well known throughout her community as a hardworking Christian lady. Throughout her life she had a variety of jobs, her last before retirement was working in the dietary department at Fair Oaks Nursing Home. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowerbeds, farming, quilting, and working puzzles. Nova was a long-time member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church. Born April 28, 1941, in the Rowena community of Russell County, she was the daughter of the late Warren Andy Wright & Nova Myrtle Brown Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo Johnson; two sons, Lonnie & Ricky Johnson; and one daughter, Peggy Stratton. Along with three brothers, Virgil, Tracy, & Terry Wright; and one sister, Auda Mae Tucker. Survived by three sons, Ronald (Deidra) Johnson, Dallas (Jean) Johnson, Marvin (Ann) Johnson; two daughters, Betty (Steve) McBeath, and Sandra (Cliff) Honaker; one daughter in law, Megan Johnson, all of Russell Springs. One son in law, Timothy Stratton of Lawrenceburg, KY. Nova was also survived by twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. She was loved by many and will be missed by all those who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Richie Curtis officiating. Nova's final resting place will be in the Hugh Frank Cemetery.
