MEDIATION requested right now at Fiscal Court By Linda Waggener As a citizen of Adair County, at the end of only one of four years into this present Fiscal Court administration, I request a mediator be hired immediately. We are in an emergency situation as evidenced by actions that crashed the December 28, 2023 meeting before work was done. The pattern of disagreement and bad behavior only worsened from the very first meeting to the last regular meeting of the year. The leaders of our government must be able to participate in civil discourse. The difference between civil discourse and what happened at the December meeting seems as wide as the span of the Grand Canyon. It's time for a time out. It's time for a restart. I'm going to start researching mediators available to Adair County citizens and invite all those who've commented to me about this situation to join in. This story was posted on 2024-01-06 08:24:49
