Earl Bennett, 88, Adair County, KY (1936-2024)

Earl G. Bennett, age 88, of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, January 01 2024 at T.J. Health Care, Columbia, KY.

He was retired from the United States Navy after 34 years of service retiring as a "Hull Technician Master Chief Master Diver." Once retiring he came back to his home community of Sano living for over 30 years where he worked as a farmer, raising cattle, growing his own crops including hay and corn and tobacco.


He was born on Wednesday, January 01 1936, in Jamestown, KY, the son of Martha Susan Wade Bennett and Russell M. Bennett, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include a Son: Russell Bennett, of Columbia KY.

two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Boudreaux Bennett and brothers, Ralph and Garvin Bennett.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be 11 Saturday. Interment will be in Russell Springs Cemetery, 1516 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Officiating: Bro. Delton Haydon.
