Belinda Sue Tucker, 64, Columbia, KY (1959-2024)

Belinda Sue Tucker of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at her residence. She was 64 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3pmCT on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with cremation to follow the services. There will be a burial later at the Robinson Ridge Cemetery for family and friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday after 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


She was born on November 29, 1959, in Dayton, OH to the late Sam and Stella Louise Watson Tucker. Sue spent her life serving the Lord, her faith is something she shared with everyone she met. Playing the piano in church and singing His praises was truly her passion.

Ms. Tucker was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church and a retired teacher at John Adair Middle School and Knifley Grade Center before becoming the school Administrator at the Adair County Youth Development Center. After retirement from the school system, she worked as a VHR Social Security Hearing Officer and most recently as a Pharmacy Technician at Adair Drug. She enjoyed Quilting, traveling, playing the piano, being a part of the Campbellsville Emaus Community and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Nancy Tucker and Connie Lou Woodrum.

Survivors include her two sons James Walker (Terra Ray) of Summersville, KY and John Walker of Columbia, KY; her sons father Clifton Walker; three grandchildren Dylan Walker of Summersville, KY, Kelsi and Kenli Walker both of Columbia, KY; a brother Neal Tucker (Faye) of Liberty, KY; a special young man that she always considered her third son Shane Stapleton of Knifley, KY and several nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
