Hugh Henry McGuire, Green County, KY (1947-2023) Hugh Henry McGuire of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Hugh McGuire and Bessie B. Bruner McGuire, was born on Friday, April 25, 1947, and departed this life on Monday, January 1, 2024, at his home. He was 76 years, eight months, and seven days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a machinist for Naval Ordinance, and was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army. He also loved fishing, working on cars, and gardening. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Beverly Sue Scott McGuire of Greensburg, having united in marriage on April 22, 1980. Other survivors include daughters and sons-in-law: Dawn and Josh Corbin, Tamala and Brandon Curry all of Greensburg; grandchildren: Serenity Greer, Macy Corbin, Drew Corbin, Micaiah Curry, Neveah Curry all Greensburg; two great-grandchildren: Jackson Wilson and Taylor York; other daughters: Michelle McGuire, Karen McGuire, Cathy McGuire, and Edith McGuire; and a host of other grandchildren, relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather: John Britt; and a brother and sister: Patrick McGuire and Cathy Britt. The funeral services will be conducted at 10amCT Friday, January 5, 2023, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
