Rucella Warf, 85, Metcalfe County, KY (1938-2024)

Rucella (Dowell) Warf, age 85, of Edmonton, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 02, 2024 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, May 22, 1938 the daughter of Ellie Sanders and Eddie Mae (Groce) Dowell.

She was of the Baptist Faith, member of the Pink Ridge Baptist Church, and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the Father of children, John Warf, son, Stevie Joe Warf, and her son-in-law, Paul Mosby.

She is survived by her children, Donneata (& James) Blakley, Juanita Mosby, Nancy Warf, Shelia Thompson, John (& Margie) Warf, 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with other family members and many friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1pmCT with the Honorable Larry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Boston Cemetery in Sulphur Well. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 03, 2024, after 5 and again on Thursday after 8am until the time for the service at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton.
