Nathan Burton, 48, Adair County, KY (1975-2023) Charles Nathan Burton, 48, of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. He was born in Columbia, KY on February 24, 1975 to Phillip Burton and Vickie Goodin Milby who survive. He was known for his tree trimming work in the area and always caught everyone's attention with adventurous videos of his work on social media. He enjoyed hiking and being outdoors but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Nathan attended the New Hope Separate Baptist Church as a youth and was of the Christian faith. In addition to his mother and father he is survived by his wife Shawnda Popplewell Burton of Columbia, KY; four children Nathalie, Joseph, Jacob, and Seth Burton; a brother Aaron Burton (Suzy) of Summersville, KY; his paternal grandmother Rachel Burton; special aunts and uncles Connie Rich (Floyd), Larry Burton, Janet Burton, Sharon Melton (Chuck), Beverly Powell (Dave), and Becky Wood (Guy) and several niece, nephews friends, and other relatives. Funeral services will be 11amCT Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 and will continue Thursday until time for the service. Bro. Dean Morris will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Jeremy DiDonato, Jared Penick, Steven Shepard, Donald Powell, Jr. Joseph, and Adam Bennett. Honorary pallbearer swill be his nephews and cousins. Nathan request that in lieu of flowers donations be given to his wife and children. This story was posted on 2024-01-02 10:45:05
