George Edward (Ed) Feese, 77, Knifley, KY native (1946-2023)

George Edward Feese, 77, of Harrisburg, PA, a native of Knifley, KY, was born December 18, 1946, and passed away unexpectedly December 20, 2023.

Services were held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc. Dillsburg, PA. Burial followed in the Grantham Memorial Park.


He was predeceased by his parents, George Ed Feese of Knifley and Columbia, KY, & C. Gladys Kraybill, and by his siblings, David L. Feese and Shirley M. Feese Giles.

He is survived by his sons, Edward D., David J. (Pam), & Douglas S. Feese, as well as his special granddaughter, Theresa Feese; and siblings Joseph M. Feese & Carolyn E. Hess (Robert).

Ed maintained his ties to his Adair Co. family throughout his life. His Kentucky heritage was very important to him. He even compiled a Feese family genealogy.

Most important to Ed was his faith in Jesus Christ. He was an avid Bible reader, and enjoyed discussing Old Testament prophesy. A highlight of his life was a trip to the Holy Lands. He was a member of the Brethren In Christ Church.

Ed was an avid sportsman all of his life. He loved hunting, & fishing with his son and friends. He loved the camaraderie and competition of competitive archery shooting. He was very active in the Harrisburg Archery Club. He was said to be a legend among archers nationally & statewide. Many trophies, including some for national championships, adorned his shelves.

During much of his life, he was involved with automobiles. He operated several Mobile service stations in the Lemoyne area, and was active in car racing for a time. He also worked as a service manager for Freysinger Pontiac.

He retired as a real estate agent with Weichert Realtors.

Memorial contributions can be made to Harrisburg Archery Club, 1401 Roberts Valley Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or Brethren In Christ World Missions, Brethren in Christ U.S., 431 Grantham Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
