Rachel Meadows, 69, Green County, KY (1954-2023) Rachel Lou Young Meadows was born September 24, 1954, in Metcalfe County, KY to the late Thurman and Rachel Bernice Davis Young. She departed this life Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the U of L Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of sixty-nine years, two months and nine days. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of South Summersville Baptist Church. She worked at Fruit of the Loom until closing. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She united in marriage December 23, 1972, to Danny Dale Meadows, who preceded her in death November 28, 1990. She was also preceded in death September 19, 2016, by her granddaughter: Brittany Nicole Taylor. Rachel is survived by three daughters and three sons-in law and one son: Janice and Marion Taylor of Greensburg, Sandy and Larry Wolford of Leitchfield, Ronnie Dale Meadows and Tracy and Brad Shirley of Summersville, one brother and one sister-in-law: Kenneth and Barbara Young of Greensburg, two sisters and one brother-in-law: Rosie Edwards of Summersville, Lisa and Jerry Fields of Greensburg, fifteen grandchildren: Sarah Thompson (Zach), Faith Taylor, Jennifer Meadows, Chuck Wolford, Jonathan Edwards, Jessica Montgomery (Chuck), Danielle Meadows, Destinee Arnold (Jason), Neaveh Wolford, Daniel Meadows (Brandy), Cody Shirley (Liz), Blake and Alexis Rainwater, Abbie Shirley, Patiance Shirley, fourteen great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Place and Time of Funeral Service: Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home 12 Noon Thursday, December 7, 2023. Visitation: 5-8pm Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 and after 7 am Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023 Minister: Bro.
