Mary Ernestine Bennett, 86, Columbia, KY (1937-2023) Mary Ernestine (Moss) Bennett of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at her residence. She was 86 years old. Funeral services will be held at 10amCT on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Steve Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born in Adair County on July 7, 1937, to the late Enos and Ozella Coomer Moss. She was also preceded in death by a brother Delbert Moss. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Morris Chapel Methodist Church and enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband Walton Bennett of Columbia, KY; two daughters Sandy Bennett (Tommy) and Missie Harvey (Kevin) both of Columbia, KY; three grandchildren Jason Sneed (Candace) of Campbellsville, KY, Tasha Davis of Columbia, KY, and Kayla Coomer (Logan) of White House, TN; four great grandchildren Riley Thomas, Brooklyn Thomas, Maddie Davis, Oaklynn Sneed and several other friends and relatives. Pallbearers will be Jason Sneed, Kevin Harvey, Rex Bennett, Tim Moss, Logan Coomer, Ronnie Bragg, and Donnie Bragg. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
