Ray Hudgins, 80, Green County, KY (1943-2023)

Ray Hudgins of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Carl Edward Hudgins and Bernice Holt Hudgins, was born on Wednesday, February 3, 1943 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Greensburg. He was 80 years, 9 months, and 22 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the United States Navy, and was a concrete finisher for Lobbs Concrete.


Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Kevin Hudgins of Green County, Chris and Angie Hudgins of Green County; five grandchildren: Jalyn and Jarrod Mays of Greensburg, Colton and Katelyn Hudgins of Horse Cave, Caileigh Hudgins of Horse Cave, Tanlee Hudgins of Green County, and Chandler Hudgins of Munfordville; five great-grandchildren: Liam, Barrett, Baiyler, Caidan, and Savannah; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Mitchell and Nancy Hudgins of Campbellsville, David and Susan Hudgins of Louisville, Timmy and Cynthia Hudgins of Campbellsville; his companion: Judy Cook of Greensburg; special friends: Steve and Julia Hartfield of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Louie Hudgins, Hulett Milton Hudgins, and Harold Hudgins.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11amCT Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Honor Guard. Bro. Jim Durham and Bro. Casey Durrett officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8pmCT Tuesday and after 7 Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Wilson Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
