Clell D. Parson, 76, Gradyville, KY (1947-2023)

Clell Davis Parson of the Gradyville Community died on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 5:30 A.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home. He was 76 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Willard Parson officiating. Burial will follow in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is requested on Wednesday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and on Friday after 7amCT until the funeral hour. (There will be no visitation on Thursday.)


He was born October 14, 1947, in Adair County, to the late Andy Clifton and Ada Frances Richard Parson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Keith, two brothers, Leroy and Carl Parson and his sister, Ruth Bell.

Clell was a member of Gradyville Baptist Church, was employed at Day & Day Feed Mill for many years and was a member of the Columbia-Adair County Rescue Squad for 28 years.

Survivors include:
  • His wife - Pauline Bell Parson of Gradyville
  • One son and daughter-in-law - William and Laura Parson of Gradyville
  • A son-in-law - Gary Keith of Columbia
  • Three brothers - Vernon Parson, Willard Parson and Steve Parson all of Columbia
  • Three grandchildren - Emily Pennington, Brandy Burress and Tasha Marcum
  • Five great-grandchildren, several other relatives and friends
