Campbellsville Main Street Christmas parade is Dec. 2

By Larry Joe Smith

The Campbellsville Main Street Christmas Parade is Saturday December 2, 2023 at 6pmET, and we're reminding everyone it's just two weeks away. It's my ninth year of chairing the event and the board and myself are excited about this years parade as we are seeing excitement build. The parade theme is "It's a Candy Cane Christmas."

Again this year we will have a food court on Court Street, Lanny Thompson will also be serving his famous "Classic Dairy Queen Chili Dogs", Hot chocolate bar by Brandy McCubbin and other delicious treats on Main Street including a free Coca-Cola for everyone who attends and the Messy Bun will be open serving delicious food.

Campbellsville and Taylor County High School along with the Campbellsville University Bands will also be featured in our celebration.

We need floats, civic groups, cool vehicles, hungry people and anyone else that can help us create a wonderful Christmas Celebration on Main Street as we spread the love and joy of the holiday season.

Santa and Mrs Clause will be spreading Christmas cheer and greeting the children.

This year we will have a "Best Float" contest, first, second and third places. Start building your float today, this celebration is open to everyone, we need good weather and a crowd, this will be good in the neighborhood and one to remember. Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas.
