Allen Edwin Gilson Jr, 75, Green County, KY

Allen Edwin Gilson Jr. of Green County, son of the late Allen Edwin Gilson Sr. and Betty Wistrom Gilson, was born on Sunday, May 16, 1948 in Wisconsin and passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at his home. He was 75 years, five months, and 18 days of age.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy for four years, during the Vietnam War. He was an Electronics Technician for the Civil Service Department of Defense. He also enjoyed music and could play just about any instrument he picked up.


He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy Marie Ellen Gilson of Greensburg, having united in marriage on December 28, 1983.

Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer Jo and Ramon Gonzalez of Washington; a son: Christopher Gilson of Washington; three sisters: June Brown, Pat Faulkner both of Washington; Sue Shaw of Arizona; one brother: Daren Gilson of Idaho; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois.

Honoring the families wishes, cremation was chosen. No formal services at this time.
