Linda Kay Long, 73, Cumberland County, KY (1949-2023)

Linda Kay Long, age 73 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Medical Center at Bowling Green. Linda was born on November 20, 1949 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Ollie Glen Pruitt and Mary Estelle Spears Pruitt.

She was a member of Red Banks Church and was a former employee of Bob Evans and Carhartt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lester Long and one brother Donald Ray Pruitt.


Survivors Include:

One Son- Keith Long and wife Angie of Burkesville, KY

One Daughter- Melissa Hammer of Cheyenne, WY

One Sister- Brenda Fluty and husband Cordell of Burkesville, KY

Two Brothers- Gary Pruitt and wife Regina of Georgetown, KY and Doug Pruitt and wife Hilda of Louisville, KY

Four Grandchildren- Holly Long Parrigin and husband Bart, Cody McGuffey, Brooke Hammer and Carla Hammer

Six Great Grandchildren- Noah Hammer, Sophia Hudson, Dominic Spaulding, Aubri Hyde, Bristol Parrigin and Miles Allen Parrigin

along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends

Funeral Service: Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Murley Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Saturday, October 28th from 5 till 9 and after 6 Sunday morning.
