Letter to the editor: Writer wants County Merit System for all employees "When an employee's job is at stake they will never tell of things that are not right or of any illegal practice." Dear editor: Something that should be discussed before the election and change of office holders is a County Merit system for all employees that received a check from the taxpayers for over four years. Too often a change of office holders brings in supporters, friends, and relatives. Any present office holder who doesn't support this should lose. A job should not be determined by the election or re-election of anyone. That is economic slavery. In four years if you cannot determine if an employees is doing their job you do not need to be in charge of anything. When an employee's job is at stake they will never tell of things that are not right or of any illegal practice. What has happened in Frankfort since the Governor's election is both illegal and a scandal. The pardons and the childlike responses of the Democrats were worse and did it before we got here is *obsuration. Political infallibility-- I pardon you for what you did or may of done. Not even the scriptures offers forgiveness for what you might be found guilty of later. Political indulgences have become the rule and acceptable practice of government office holders for too long. The breaking of an oath of office should be a felony. If it takes years to determine regardless of political party. Perhaps if we held elected representatives accountable we would receive better representation. Do not put off as some misdemeanor act that expires in one year. Kenneth Edward Aaron P.O. The neologism is in use, but is not in most dictionaries. - -Editor Express your opinion by courteously commenting below or by voting in the attached survey, Do you favor a County Merit System?"
