Kingsley (Smitty) Smith, Jr., 87, Columbia, KY (1936-2023)

Kingsley "Smitty" Smith Jr. of Columbia, KY, the son the late Kingsley Elsworth Smith Sr. and Madge Lane Smith, was born July 24, 1936 in Stuart, Florida and departed this life on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at his residence. He was 87 years of age.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Glensfork Community Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Carol Allen on August 10, 1997 who survives. He was a carpenter by trade and loved being outdoors, traveling and was a commercial fisherman. He loved playing with his dog Ragz.

Besides his wife, Carol Allen Smith, he is survived a step-son Jason Allen Gocio and wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach, VA, two step-grandsons: Kason Andrew Gocio and Ryan Allen Gocio and a host of other friends.

The family has chosen cremation, and all services will be held privately.
