Doris Jean Newton, 91, Campbellsville, KY (1932-2023)

Doris Jean Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Malvin Benningfield and Willard Drury Benningfield, was born June 15, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:25 A.M., Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She was 91 years old.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church. Doris enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Doris is survived by two sons and two daughters: Mike Newton and wife, Linda, Johnny Newton and wife, Vickie, Rhonda Watson and husband, Carl and Julie Bruce and husband, Pat all of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister; Janice Thompson of Elkhorn; one sister-in-law, Lillie Benningfield Sherrill of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Doris was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Lyndon Benningfield, Don Benningfield, Monte Ray Benningfield, Berlin Benningfield and Shirley Ann Thompson.
