Wear a coat to Silent City history walk Monday Remember to wear a coat to the Silent City history walk this evening. Even though we're starting the morning with showers, umbrellas may not be needed. The Annual Silent City walk begins at 5pmCT today. On this Columbus Day, Monday, October 9, 2023, NOAA weather calls for some clouds and some sun and afternoon temps getting up near 70. Tonight it's predicted to be mostly clear with a low falling to around 38. That's coat weather! Park and sign in at the Library, 307 Greensburg Street, at 5pmCT to join the walk to the historic Columbia cemetery, or if you'd like to skip the walk from the library, you can park at the Justice Center for a shorter distance to the old section of the cemetery to meet up with those who walked from the library. The following individuals are portraying interesting residents who have been buried here include: Dave Thomas, J.D. & Ellen Zornes, Richard Phelps, LeeAnn Jessee, and Mike & Renea Watson. Call 270-380-1024 for more information. This story was posted on 2023-10-09 10:57:43
