Joe N. Collins, 68, Columbia, KY (1954-2023) Joe N. Collins of Columbia passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at University of Kentucky Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. He was 68 years old. The funeral service will be held at NoonCT on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville St., Columbia, KY, with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery. The family requests visitation on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 4pmCT until 9pmCT, and will continue after 6amCT on Wednesday until time for services at Grissom Martin Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 7pmCT on Tuesday evening at the funeral home, with the lodge opening for members at 6pmCT. The public is invited to attend. Joe was born on November 30, 1954 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY to the late Joe Norris Collins, Sr. and Ruth Wilma Jean Jessie Collins. He was an emergency dispatcher for Adair County from 1993-2015, the current District 7 Constable, holding office since 1993, a co-owner of Coomer Oil Co., an E.M.T. for several years, and a truck driver for Superior Battery Manufacturing Co. Joe was active for many years with Adair Search & Rescue and was a member of Columbia Masonic Lodge #96.
